Obituary of Harriet F. Greenfield

Harriet F. Greenfield, 90, a resident of the Avon Nursing Home, died there Thursday, February 21, 2008. Prior to her entry into the nursing home, Mrs. Greenfield had resided at Morgan Estates in Geneseo. She is survived by 2 sons, Robert L. Greenfield of Los Altos, CA and Thomas A. Greenfield of Avon, daughter in law Alice Rogstad of Avon, 2 grandchildren, Suzanne Greenfield of Los Angeles, CA, Alex Greenfield of Avon, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Greenfield. She was born September 8, 1917 in New York, New York the daughter of Lewis and Rose Padawar Frazin. She was awarded both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Columbia University in New York City. Harriet was a professional pianist and music teacher in the NYC area. She was a Life Master competive contract bridge player, avid golfer, theatergoer and reader. She was a retired owner of a restaurant in Levittown, PA and a retired member of the staff of the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey. No prior calling hours. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Individuals may make memorial gifts in her name to the charity of their choice.
