Obituary of Donald E. Harris

Donald E. Harris, 88, of Retsof Road in Retsof, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence. He was predeceased by his step son Perry Rynkowski, sister Florence Heinlein and brother Leon "Hezzie" Harris. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley, his sons, Dave (Teresa) Harris of Avon and Ronald (Antoinette) Harris of Retsof, daughter, Lisa (Michael) Radesi of CA, grandchildren, David, Rodney, Cody, Clayton, Crissy and Matthew, great grandchildren, Susan, Hunter, Luke, Jesse, Erik, Paige and Blaire, sister, Alice Parker of Geneseo, brothers, Harold "Pidge" Harris of Geneseo, Neil "Monk" (Marge) Harris of Wadsworth, Ernie Harris of Cuylerville, sister in law, Rachel Thayer of Pittsford, many nieces and nephews. Don was born March 19, 1927 in Retsof, NY the son of Neil and Ruth Nichols Harris. He married Shirley Irwin on June 25, 1966. Don was a longtime member of the Geneseo United Methodist Church and was retired from the International Salt Mine in Retsof after 47 years of service. Friends may call Thursday, July 23 from 7-9PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Graveside Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10 AM in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo followed by Memorial Services at 11 AM at the Geneseo United Methodist Church.
