Obituary of Katherine V. Hamilton

Katherine V. Hamilton, age 91, of Leicester, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY where she had been a resident since 2007. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne "Bump" Hamilton, parents, Frank and Lilian Hurlburt. Katherine is the last of their 9 children, brothers, Milo, Lynn, Bill, Chuck and Austen "Booty" Hurlburt, sisters, Grace Conway, Della Swede and June Cofield. Beloved and devoted mother of her daughter, Sandie (Dean) Pendergast, her sons, Roger (Linda) Hamilton and Randy (Peggy) Hamilton all of Leicester, loving grandmother to Nicole Galbraith, Jesse (Laura), Katherine "Katie", Cody and Leslie Hamilton, great grandmother to Tanner, Camden, Parker and Anthony, brother and sister in law, Richard "Bud" and Millie Hamilton, sisters in law, Rita Hurlburt, Evelyn and Marlene Hamilton, many nieces and nephews. Kay was born September 28, 1923 in Perry, NY the daughter of Frank and Lillian Dupaw Hurlburt. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Perry Center. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
