Samuel J. Coniglio, age 90, of Avon, formerly of Dover, DE, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the St. John's Green Home in Penfield. He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Nunzio and James, sister, Frances Marasco and nephew, Richard Marasco. He is survived by his wife, Ann Regone Coniglio, brother, Charles Coniglio of Avon, nieces and nephews, James (Mary) Coniglio of Geneseo, John C. Coniglio of Mt. Morris, Joel (Jessica) Coniglio of Norwood, CO, Barbara (Frank) Juliano of West Palm Beach, FL, Kenneth (Alicia) Coniglio of Webster, Mary Jo (Kevin) Carey of Loudonville, NY, Mary Frances Miller of Niskayuna, NY, Anthony Coniglio of San Diego, CA, Joseph Coniglio of Walla Walla, WA, John U. (Mary Jo) Coniglio of Pittsford, David (Marianne) Coniglio of Salt Lake City, UT, Mary Anne (Thomas) Slaiman of Grand Island, NY, Kathy (Bob) Culbreth of Niagara Falls, NY James (Dawn) Marasco of Niagara Falls, NY Salvatore (Rocio) Marasco of Mesa, AZ, David (Debbie) Coniglio of Avon, many great nieces, nephews and dear friends, Marian Hitch and Sam Riggi both of Dover, DE. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. John's Green Home for their loving care of Samuel. Samuel was born January 14, 1924 in Avon, NY the son of Antonio and Mattia Romano Coniglio. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran. Samuel retired as Maintenance Supervisor for Kraft Foods in Dover, DE. Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 8:30 AM-9:30 AM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10 AM at the St. Agnes Church, 108 Prospect St. in Avon with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon, NY. Memorials may be made to the St. Agnes School, 60 Park Place, Avon, NY 14414 or the St. John's Foundation, Green House Staff Continuing Education, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
