Obituary of Roland K. Lash

Roland Keith Lash, age 58, of Geneseo, died unexpectedly of natural causes, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his residence. He was predeceased by his father, David Barry Lash. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Lash of Mt. Morris, brother, Robert (Amy Rees) Lash of Gardiner, ME, niece, Michelle (Patrick) Sawyer-Houle of Johnson, VT, nephew, John Sawyer of Gardiner, ME. Roland graduated from Geneseo High Sshool in 1974. He was an honor student throughout high school, as well as at Geneseo State College where he completed his bachelor's degree in just three years. Roland was never married nor had children and he spent most of his life living with, and eventually caring for his mother. He lived a simple, modest life, and although he was shy, he was also keenly intelligent and had a sharp sense of humor. He was very caring and funny, and those who got to know him were lucky to do so. Roland enjoyed coin collecting, comic book collecting, and watching comedy shows, sports, and keeping up with current events. No prior calling hours.
