Dear Case family,
I'm very sorry for your loss and though we don't know each other I'm hoping you'll accept my sharing what helped me get through the loss of my entire family to this enemy death which brings nothing but pain and grief. I found hope and comfort in what Jehovah Gods word says in his word the Bible at John11:11 that our love ones are just asleep and at John5:28,29 Jesus tells us that we'll see our love ones again and we're told at ICor15:26 that this enemy death will be done away with. These scriptures help me get through each day because I miss my family so much. I'm truly hoping these scriptures will help you also for this is my purpose in sharing them with you and please know that I do share your grief. Sincerely, Gloria

I knew Alan and Brian when we were students at Geneseo. I have fond memories of that time long ago. I always admired the fact that Alan stayed on, seemingly worked on everything musical in the Brodie building, and made a real niche for himself there. Geneseo has lost someone very special.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Case family and to Brian Smith.
Sincerely,
Peter Mellett

My first recollection of Alan was him playing for my ballet classes with Jonette Loncos at Geneseo College. What a talent and great guy. He will be missed by so many. He was a very talented man and he will leave a great void in the artistic community.

Thank you, Alan, for all of the guidance and advice during those crucial college years. You truly made me look at the world in a different way. You were one of the most beautiful people I have ever known and your heart knew no bounds. I will forever be grateful that I had the honor to know you. You will not be forgotten. You will also be happy to know that I have lost my "Long Island accent" after years of training. ;-) Until we meet again! ;-)

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination
and life to everything.”
― Plato
This quote certainly fits how we feel when we reflect on the music Alan provided throughout the years.
Alan and all his gifts will be greatly missed. We can't imagine the organ at St. Michael's with anyone else playing it. Our thoughts are with his family and closest friends.
