Obituary of Eleanor C. Baker

Eleanor C. (Parks) Baker, age 90, of York, passed peacefully on May 2, 2014, under the care of her loving granddaughter, Kelly Dube's family where she resided for the last three and a half years. Eleanor joins her beloved husband, John who died in 2010 and her son, James who died in 2001, and her brothers, Ernie, Raymond and Norman Parks Eleanor is survived by her children, Cathy (Arthur) Flinton of Utah, William (Kathleen) Baker of Wyoming, NY, Susan (Carmen) Muoio of Ohio, daughter-in-law, Linda Baker of Batavia, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister, Anna Jane Vosler of Florida, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Eleanor was born July 27, 1923 the daughter of James and Cora Ayers Parks. She was a lifelong resident of York. Eleanor worked at the York Central School Cafeteria until her retirement. She was a member of the York Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the York United Presbyterian Church. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10 AM at the York United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Main St. in York with Pastor Michelle Sumption officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
