Obituary of Joanne Farruggia

Joanne Farruggia, age 91, of Geneseo formerly of Leicester, died Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Farruggia, son, Michael Beach, siblings, Jack and Donna Seward.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Cheryl) Beach of Piffard, Sharlinda (Randy) Eddy of Scio, step children, Angel (Mike) Lynch of Geneseo, Alan (Karen) Farruggia of FL, many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and special friends Jim and Sue.

Joanne was born July 7, 1933 in Wayland, NY the daughter of Horace and Kathryn Thompson Seward. She retired as a Nurses Aide from the Livingston County Health Related Facility in Mt. Morris.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father Daniel White officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
