Obituary of Randy Simms

Randy Simms, age 59, of Mt. Morris formerly of Geneseo, died Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. He was predeceased by his mother, Karen E. Simms in 2021.

He is survived by his father, Edward Simms of Mt. Morris, uncle, Charles (Joni) Cottom of Rochester, cousin, Arielle Cottom of Henrietta and many dear friends.

Randy was born November 14, 1964 in Rochester, NY the son of Edward Simms and Karen E. Cottom Simms. He was a Graduate of Geneseo Central School Class of 1983. Randy worked at Bausch & Lomb in Rochester before his illness. He was a race car enthusiast. Randy enjoyed all types of car racing but especially liked to watch NASCAR.

No prior calling hours. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10 AM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo with Pastor Edward Phillips officiating. Interment will be with his mother, Karen Simms in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
