Obituary of Francis A. Shutts

Francis A. Shutts, age 91, of Geneseo formerly of Homer, NY, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Suzanne's Comfort Care Home in Perry, NY. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Beverly Nadge Shutts.

He is survived by his son, William (Kim) Shutts of Cuylerville, grandchildren, Taylor (Daniel) Mende and their daughter Nora, all of Geneseo, Tyler (Janelle) Shutts and their expected daughter in October, all of Bluffton, SC, several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Francis was born August 2, 1932 in Homer, NY the son of William and Pauline Bigelow Shutts. He was a US Army 7th Calvary Division Korean War Veteran. Francis was a Line Foreman for Brockway Motor Trucks in Cortland and retired as a Bus Driver for Homer Central Schools.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 2 – 5 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Graveside Services in Atwater Cemetery in Homer will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
