Obituary of Louis P. Zanghi
Louis P. Zanghi, age 87, of Piffard, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Jean Zanghi, brother, Leonard Zanghi and canine companion, Tony.
He is survived by his three daughters, Theresa (Jeff) Marshall of Dansville, Tammy (Mark) Kozlowski of Fort Ashby, WV, Stephanie (Lupe Garcia) McMahon of Abilene, TX, grandchildren, Connor (Beth) Marshall, Mackenzie Marshall, Stephen and Daniel Kozlowski, Ricky (Brittney) Barringer, Brittany Barringer, and Nala Stamper, great grandchildren, Ian, Emma, Erin and Alexandra Barringer, Alana Bryan, Fitzgerald "Fitzy" Marshall, brother in law, Bill McVeigh, special friend, Martha Dougal and several nieces.
Louis was born May 4, 1937 in Mt. Morris, NY the son of Phillip and Madeline Bartolotti Zanghi. He was a US Army Reserve Veteran. Louie retired as a Code Enforcer for the City of Rochester. He was a former member of the Retsof Fire Department and a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and A-ON-DO-WA-NAH Sportsman Club in Cuylerville.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Rev. Hoan Dinh officiating.
