Obituary of Dr. Lawrence R. Freiburger

Dr. Lawrence R. “Bob” Freiburger, age 84, of Geneseo, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Berenice Toner Freiburger in 2009.

He is survived by his daughter, Gretchen Freiburger of Henrietta, his care taker, Jackie Quinn of Geneseo, several cousins and his canine companion, Duncan.

Dr. Freiburger was born February 19, 1939 in Rochester, NY the son of Erwin and Winifred Pammett Freiburger. He was a Graduate of SUNY Geneseo class of 1961 and was also a Professor until his retirement. After his retirement, Bob started working at the Valley Liquor Store on Main St. in Geneseo. He served on the Geneseo Zoning Board and the Temple Hill Cemetery Association Board of Directors.

No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
