Carmela Prate, age 70, of Brockport, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was predeceased by her father, Salvatore LiMura.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Prate, children, Ronald (Charmaine) Prate Jr., Michael (Amy) Prate, Jennifer (Andrew) Loturco, grandchildren, David, Elizabeth, Sophia, Averleigh and Salvatore, mother, Agata LiMura, siblings, Sebastiano (Lisa) LiMura, Maria Sauer, Grace (Michael) Valenti, Margaret (Andrew) Prestigiacomo, several nieces and nephews.

Carmela was born August 10, 1953 in Catania, Sicily, Italy the daughter of Salvatore and Agata Pistorio LiMura. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, her world revolved around them.

No prior calling hours. Her Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of one's choice.
