Obituary of Vena J. McClurg

Vena J. McClurg, age 92, of Leicester, died Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald McClurg in in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Sandy) Ylisto of Cuylerville, David (Julie) McClurg of San Diego, CA, Sharon (Dave) Koch of Leicester, grandchildren, Darrin (Miriam) Ylisto, Brian (Amber) Ylisto, Cory (Ann Marie) Brzezinski, Miracle Martello, Tara (Nick VanGelder) Tinelli, Megan McClurg, Katie (Nathan) Martinez, Connor McClurg, Madison McClurg, great grandchildren, Isabella, Thomas, Gianna, Finley, Major, Dash, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Vena was born January 10, 1931 in Cuylerville, NY the daughter of John and Pearl Jones Kaplan. She retired from BOSES Holcomb School Campus in Geneseo as a Secretary. Vena enjoyed vacationing in the Thousand Islands and the Bahamas with family and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11 AM at Leicester Cemetery.
