Obituary of Robert P. Woolston

Robert P. Woolston, age 79, of Ocala, FL formerly of Geneseo, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Ocala, FL. He was predeceased by parents, Loren and Rachel Woolston and his first wife, Evelyn Boothby Woolston. He is survived by his wife, Esther "Carol" Woolston, stepdaughters, Julie (Jeff) Whitling, Brenda Blair, stepson, Bill Boothby and their families, brother, Richard (Nancy) Woolston, nephews, David and Steven Woolston, niece, Carol Ratcliffe and their families, several cousins. Bob was born in Rochester, moved to Geneseo in 1947 where he lived until moving to Ocala in 2001. He was a graduate of Geneseo Central School and attended Hobart College and SUNY Brockport prior to serving in the U.S. Army in the post Korean War era. He leaves behind many close friends in Geneseo, Pennsylvania and Florida. He had owned several small shops in Western New York and Pennsylvania. For many years he was an avid golfer at Livingston Country Club in Geneseo and Caledonia Country Club. Friends may call Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12 noon - 1 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 1 PM. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery in Spencerport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, PO Box 428, Geneseo, NY 14454.
