Obituary of Barbara J. Parker

On June 5th 2023 Barbara J. Parker, age 76, of Geneseo, was called to her eternal home while at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Parker, parents, Frank Pecora and Marjorie Buell, and her sister, Judy Scoville.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Bob) Thomas of Canandaigua, Shawn (Deborah) Parker of Bowling Green, KY, grandchildren, Jagger and Julianne Parker, Allison Schultz, great grandson, Hunter Schultz, brother in law, Daniel Scoville of Geneseo, many nieces and nephews. We are so grateful for the legacy of her love for family that will carry on in each one of us moving forward.

Barb was born October 5, 1946 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of Frank Pecora and Marjorie Wester Buell. Barb and her late husband Ron purchased the Finger Lakes Livestock Exchange in Canandaigua in 1983. She was right by his side every step of the way, helping to build the family business. She had such a special way of encouraging others to stand on their own two feet and get the job done. They successfully owned and operated the Livestock Exchange for 40 years until it was just recently sold last month.

No prior calling hours. Her Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Interment will be in Arnold Cemetery in Conesus.
