Obituary of Christopher C. Sica

Christopher C. Sica, age 61, of Geneseo, died Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY after a very long battle with MS. He was predeceased by his wife, Sheryl Mady Sica.

He is survived by his parents, Carmen and Patsy Sica, brother, Peter (Monica) Sica of Leicester, beloved nephews, Matt (Rayna) Sica and Alex Sica, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chris was born August 30, 1961 in Warsaw, NY the son of Carmen and Patsy Riese Sica. Chris was raised in Geneseo and Graduated from Geneseo Central School, where he was an exceptional athlete. He was a three sport standout receiving an All-County Award in football, made the State Qualifiers in wrestling his senior year and excelled in the field events in track. Chris was also the Class President his junior year and Student Body President his senior year. He went on to attend and graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associate's Degree. Chris served on the Parrish Council and Residents Council at Monroe Community Hospital.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
