Obituary of Marjorie C. Harris

Marjorie C. Harris, age 89, of Wadsworth, died Monday, December 5, 2022 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Neil "Monk" Harris Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Michael McQuinn) Harris of Brighton, Larry (Chrissy) Harris of Wadsworth, sister, Mae MacIntyre of York, special friends, Ed (Maris) Rauber of Cuylerville, Terri (Mike) Parsons and Tina Cottone all of Leicester, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marge was born November 29, 1933 in Groveland, NY the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Boyd Yates. She was a hairdresser on Center Street in Geneseo for 15 years. Marge retired from the York Central School after 20 years of service. She was a member of the York-Leicester Seniors and St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo. Marge was also an avid golfer in her day. Marge's greatest joy were spending time with family and friends, enjoying cooking for those she loved. Her kindness and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

Marjorie's family would like to express their gratitude to Marjorie's caregivers, Darlene Holland, Debbie Ferrante, Marcia Trathen, Sue Reid, Tonya Rosell and Sue Holland.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo with Rev. Leslie Burkardt officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
