Obituary of Emma D. Crawford
Emma D. Crawford, age 92, of York, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She was predeceased by her husband Howard "Dessy" Crawford, her siblings, Elsie Hart, Alice Pringle, Pete, Bill and John Doolittle.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Ed) Orman of York, David (Karen) Crawford of Avon, Linda (Tom) Kolb of York, grandchildren, Ed (Molly) Orman, Matt (Jen) Orman, Kaitlin (Robbie Link) Kolb, Zachary (Jordan Strobel and her daughter, Peyton Smith) Kolb and Hannah Kolb, great grandchildren, Bailey, Eli, Xavier, Evelyn, Jacob and Dessie Ella, her sister, Helen Wolfe of York, many nieces and nephews,.
Emma was born March 20, 1930 in York, NY the daughter of Claude and E. Louise Oster Doolittle. She was a lifetime member of the York United Presbyterian Church. Emma enjoyed quilting and baking cakes for all occasions. She was an avid supporter of the York Central School Sports Boosters. She served the school for many years as a secretary.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the York United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Main St. in York with Rev. Michelle Sumption officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
