Charles, born October 30, 1936, was a life-long resident of Livingston County, NY. The son of Josephine and Charles W. Aprile Sr., he graduated from Geneseo High School, briefly attended SUNY Geneseo, and served in the National Guard. Charles' formative years were spent running the family business "Aprile's Restaurant" next to the well-known family-owned Riviera Theater in Geneseo, NY. His entry into real estate began with the purchase a fraternity house at the young age of 21, the first of many subsequent real estate investments. Charles went on to lead a successful 30+ yr. career in banking, beginning at Marine Midland Bank in Rochester, NY, with the majority of his career then spent at Manufacturers Hanover Trust (now Chase Bank) as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate, responsible for commercial lending for the Western & Central NY region. Upon retirement, Charles devoted his time and entrepreneurial spirit to his true passion, real estate development. Throughout his life Charles freely shared his financial acumen, real estate expertise and business guidance to colleagues, friends, his children, and his grandchildren, leaving behind a significant footprint in Livingston County and legacy that will be remembered by many for years to come.
