Obituary of Dr. John K. Coyle

Dr. John K. Coyle, age 87, of Geneseo, died Monday, February 28, 2022 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Coyle and sister, Mary Coyle.

He is survived by his children, Jay (Cathy) Coyle of Fairfield, CT, Kevin (Jenn) Coyle of Austin, TX, Andrew (Megumi) Coyle of Brockport, Elizabeth Coyle of Austin, TX, Joseph Coyle of Rochester, 8 grandchildren, Sean Coyle, Katie (Cosden) Leahey, Kevin, Liam, Abigayle, Samuel and Muriel Coyle and Kealin Alford.

John was born March 14, 1934 in Rochester, NY the son of John F. and Francis Schwartz Coyle. He was a graduate of Aquinas Institute in Rochester, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his Medical Degree from New York Medical College in New York City. Dr. Coyle served as the Chief of Staff at Wyoming County Community Hospital and Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. He also had offices in Hornell, Bath, Wellsville and Geneseo. Dr. Coyle was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo.

No prior calling hours. His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Bernard Dan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
