In Loving Memory of Mary Alice Oelwang

On Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, Mary Alice Oelwang, the loving wife of the late, Robert Carl "Bob" Oelwang, loving mother of four children, Mary, Carol (Matthew) Ryan, Bob, Jean (Chris) Waddell, and joyous grandmother of Rebecca, passed away. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Oelwang on September 4th, 2019, her parents, Mary and Roy Alhart and her brother, Neil Alhart.

Born in the Rochester area of New York State, Mary dedicated her life to her family, and to her Catholic faith and community. Mary and Bob had 67 wonderful years together, filled with raising their four children. Mary graduated from St. James Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 as a registered nurse. Throughout her life, she enjoyed volunteering and being of service to others.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be missed and loved forever by her family.

There will be two Memorial Services for Mary, the first will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 4 PM at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Livonia, NY. The Second will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord in Fort Myers, FL. All are welcome to attend.
