Obituary of Ronald P. Regone

Ronald P. Regone, age 80, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Cora Regoni.

 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria, daughters, Lynne (Rick) Walker of Scottsville, Stacey (Jeremy Wheaton) Bennett of Piffard, Nicole (Jeremy) Pragle of Piffard, grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie) Walker, Ethan (Samantha) Walker, Evan (Brooke Jodoin) Walker, Bronson Bennett, Jaycey Wheaton, great grandchildren, Julianna and Alexandria Walker, Cameron Walker, sister, Betty DeMocker of Piffard, brother-in-law, Charles Yueckstock of Attica, sister-in-law, Melva (Ken) Holly of Hunt, aunt, Minnie Yamonaco of FL, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends including Dick Tange who accompanied Ronnie to the Pok-A-Dot restaurant in Batavia on many occasions.

 

Ronnie was born May 30, 1941 in his home located in York, NY. He is the son of Peter and Cora Yamonaco Regoni. He was a graduate of York Central School, class of 1958. He worked and retired as a Foreman from AKZO-Nobel Salt Mine in Retsof after 35 years of service. Ronnie enjoyed eating, taking daily walks, playing golf, cards and billiards, and taking trips to the casino. He was a member of the NRA and the A-ON-DO-WA-NUH Sportsman’s Club in Cuylerville. He was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team. Ronnie was meticulous with everything he did including his yard, pool and shrubs. He always looked forward to family functions, seeing his relatives, and would always lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends.

 

The family would like to thank the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital Neurology and Medical Intensive Care unit 8-1600 that provided exceptional care and compassion during his illness. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Livingston County EMS and the York Ambulance as well as Zach Kobylanski, Monica Jones, and the rest of the staff at VersaScape for providing landscaping services during his illness.

 

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
