Obituary of Wayne R. Chichester

Wayne Roger Chichester, AKA, "Big Wayne", "Papa Wayne" and "Duwah", passed away December 6, 2021 at his residence in Henrietta. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Cecelia Chichester, brother, Allan Chichester and brother in law, Jim Yeager.

He blessed the world with his loved and loving children, Jason Chichester of FL, Tara (Rick) Crego of Lima, Suzanne (Nick) Vasiliou of Irondequoit, Shane Chichester of Rochester, beautiful grandchildren, Kierstyn and Austyn Crego, siblings, Barbara Yeager of Geneseo, Dennis (Margaret) Chichester of Piffard, Steve (Wendy) Chichester of FL, uncle, Larry (Dixie) Chichester of Piffard, aunt, Mildred Chichester of Wadsworth, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godson, Maxwell Chichester.

Always a man of his word, his integrity has inspired and will continue to inspire his children.

Wayne was born April 16, 1952 in Warsaw, NY the son of Gerald and Cecelia St. Clair Chichester. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. Wayne worked for the Maintenance Department at SUNY Geneseo and retired from the US Postal Service in Rochester after nearly 30 years of service.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 6-9 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Memorial Services will be held privately.
