Obituary of Francis M. Barrett Jr.

Francis M. "Mike" Barrett, Jr., age 74, of Lima, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Edna Rose Barrett Sr., and brother, Randy Barrett.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Barrett, sons, Steven Barrett of Henrietta, Tim Barrett of Geneseo, step daughters, Amy (Nicholas Clark) Hauver of Chili, Deborah (Damon) Emerson of Fairport, grandchildren, Benjamin Hauver, Taylor Clark, Sarah Emerson, siblings, Daniel Barrett of Ceres, NY, Patrick (Sue) Barrett of Ceres, NY, Marlene (Bill) Stephen of Ceres, NY, Donald (Ann Marie) DeMarte of Sumpter, SC, Susan (Mike) Tolin of Bradford, PA, Marty (Michele) DeMarte of Leicester, many nieces and nephews.

Francis was born June 18, 1946 in Olean, NY the son of Francis M. and Edna Rose Rix Barrett Sr. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. Mike earned his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo. He was employed at SUNY Geneseo in the Property Control Office where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a founding member of the Geneseo Bridge Club.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 2-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 4 PM.
