Obituary of Donald W. Trasher

Donald W. Trasher, age 78, of Main St. in Leicester, died Monday, May 2, 2016 at Rochester General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, children, : Dennis (Patricia) Kenyon of Henrietta, Laura (Daniel) Bernhofen of Washington D.C., Diane (Michael) Broberg of Chili, Steven Trasher of Colleyville, TX, James (Amy) Trasher of Baldwinsville, NY, grandchildren, Richard (Anna) Kenyon, Matthew (Deanna) Kenyon, Bethany (Ryan) Krebs, Mark and Sonja Bernhofen, Morgan and Alyssa Broberg, Madison, Jacob and Kristen Trasher, Evan and Alex Trasher, 1 great granddaughter, sister, Barbara (Terrence) Wisby of Boca Raton, FL, several nieces and nephews. Donald was born November 1, 1937 in Rockville Centre, NY the son of Fred S. and Ethel Watson Trasher. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Houghton College and his Master's from SUNY at Buffalo. Donald was the Chairman of the Mathematics Department at SUNY Geneseo for many years. He was active and served as an Elder at the Christ Community Church in Geneseo. Donald also served on the Leicester Village Planning Board. Friends may call Friday, May 13, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Christ Community Church, 26 Center St. in Geneseo with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
