Obituary of Alvina M. Seaman

Alvina M. Seaman, age 94, of Avon on the Green, formerly of York, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Pete in 1997, daughter, Kathy Glidden in 2005. She is survived by her sons, Gary Seaman of York, Larry (Joy) Seaman of Mt. Morris, daughters, Sharon Lindsay of Spencerport, Laurie (Hank) Kyhos of Rochester, 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brother, Willis Bierley of Penfield, several nieces and nephews. Alvina was born September 12, 1921 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Leo and Frieda Ellwanger Bierley. She was a Graduate of Monroe High School in Rochester, NY. Alvina was a former employee of the cafeteria staff at York Central School. She was a long time member of St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. Friends may call Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
