Obituary of Clifford B. Stevens
Clifford B. Stevens, age 88, of Leicester, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frank, Floyd, Gertrude, Dorothy and Norma.
He is survived by his children, Mark Stevens of Leicester, Janet (Dale Quackenbush) Stevens of Scottsville, many nieces and nephews.
Clifford was born August 5, 1935 in Dansville, NY the son of Clifford Briggs and Edna A. Barnhart Stevens. Cliff worked at AR Christiano Hardware in Leicester as a youth before opening his own hardware store on Main Street in Geneseo. He went on to operate Wright's Floral and Gift Shop, as well as other gift shops. Clifford had a love of cars leading him into sales for a period. He retired from Walmart as the paint and hardware guru. Cliff enjoyed spending time in his own wood working shop and is known for the car that he modified into a convertible.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where his Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10 AM with Pastor Ron Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery.
