Obituary of Leo Neumann

Leo Neumann, age 88, of Leicester, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his residence. He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Neumann and sister, Elvira Neumann.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Neumann of San Antonio, TX, Erich Neumann of Leicester, granddaughter, Konstance Neumann of San Antonio, TX, brother, Richard and Enice Neumann of Leicester, 1 nephew and 2 nieces.

Leo was born January 24, 1935 in Dermannsdorff, Ukraine, the son of Ferdinand and Antonia Klatt Neumann. He was a survivor of World War II. He was honorably discharged from the US Army serving from 1957-59 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Leo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Imaging Science from RIT. He retired from Xerox in Rochester as a Managing Engineer. Leo was also a recreational pilot.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor John Zatkiewicz officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
