Al (Alphonse) E. Soehner, age 85, of Wadsworth, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse F. and Gertrude Leistman Soehner, his father and mother in-law, Wesley and Doris Brian, and his sister, Christine Powers. Al was born October 24, 1940 in Rochester, NY.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Brian, children, Shelby (Matt) Brian of Le Roy, Michael (Kelli) Brian of Pavilion, grandchildren, Gavin Brian, Jacob (Chloe) Coniber, and Morgan (Anthony) Coniber, Tyler, Ella, Jesse and Colten Brian, great grandson, Jordan, several sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. We cannot forget his cat Blackie.

Al owned and operated Al's Automotive in Wadsworth for 60 years. He was known for his many cars and hot rods. For many years, Al was the official starter at Empire Dragway. He was the past president of Empire Vintage Rods Car Club.

He was most proud of his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Al's family.
