Josephine M. "Dodo" Cichelli, age 88, of Leicester, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Chichelli Sr., grandson, Augustine Cichelli and siblings, Mary Rose Zupparo, Donald and Joseph Christiano.

She is survived by her children, Leo (Terri Capurso) Cichelli Jr. of Albion, Regina (Carl) Swanson of Mt. Morris, Margaret (Tim) Hamler of Avon, Louis (Marcie) Cichelli of Castile, grandchildren, Ronan (Rikki), Jordan (Ashley), Adam, Christopher (Sadie), Raymond (Tiffany) Jr., Tyler, Anthony (Ashley), Joshua (Cassandra), great grandchildren, Emma, Nico, Lola and Jude, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josephine was born September 16, 1937 in Mt. Morris, NY the daughter of Frank and Rose LaChusia Christiano. Josephine and Leo were married in 1956 in Mt. Morris, NY. Dodo worked for the Canning factory in Mt. Morris and later retired from the York Central School in the Cafeteria.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father Daniel White officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
