Arlene K. Johnston, age 93, of Geneseo, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She was predeceased by her husbands, Douglas J. Welch, Harry Johnston, son-in-law, Stanley Miller, sisters, Agnes (Ed) Minnehan, Helen Morsch, Oleta (Frances) Kipp, brothers, Gerald (Virginia), Joseph (Florence), Paul (Francis), Justin, Leo (Mary Ann) Morsch, brother and sister’s in-law, Howard (Fanny) Welch and Madilene Peri. 

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Peter) Scorsone of Geneseo, Douglas (Laura) Welch of Boynton Beach, FL, Sandra Miller of Geneseo, Todd (Judy) Welch of Geneseo, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends at Morgan Estates in Geneseo.

Arlene was born October 9, 1932 in Livonia, NY the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn Yohonn Morsch. She was a graduate of Livonia Central School class of 1950. She worked for Livingston County for 35 years retiring as the Livingston County Treasurer in 1999. She was also the Treasurer for the Geneseo-Groveland Food Pantry. Arlene was a member of the Geneseo Young at the Heart Club and St. Mary’s Church in Geneseo. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Daniel White officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Geneseo.
