Damon E. Knights, age 69, of Geneseo, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Damon A. Knights and father, Ralph Knights.

He is survived by his daughter, Trish (Travis) Andrews, son, Derrell (Bridgette) Knights, grandchildren, Savannah and Kaedin Andrews, Tommy, Kat and Makayla Knights all of Geneseo, his mother, Elizabeth Knights of Dansville, siblings, Dave (Alison) Knights of Dansville, Robert (Donna) Knights of Penfield, Rev. Bambi Knights-Hassman of Dansville, several nieces and nephews.

Damon was born March 30, 1956 in Dansville, NY the son of Ralph E. and Eda Elizabeth Murphy Knights. He was a Graduate of Dansville High School class of 1974. Damon served his community as a Police Officer for the Geneseo Police Department and was a 30 plus year member of the Geneseo Ambulance Department. Damon also worked at the Geneseo Transfer Station and Advance Auto Parts in Geneseo.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where his Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10 AM with Father Daniel White officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
