Lynn M. Taft, age 70, of Nunda, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Eleanore Mole, her sister, Joan Mole.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary, children, Blaine (Barb Horton) Taft of Leicester, Jessica (Chad) Keaton of Clemmons, NC, sister, Gail (Dale) Feor of Greece, brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas Taft of Scottsburg, Wanda Schilinger of Dansville, Clint Taft of Geneseo, Clay (Chris) Taft of Nunda, many nieces and nephews.
Lynn was born November 20, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Joseph William Mole and Eleanore Mae Sharp Mole. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo. In 1977 Lynn and Gary were married and have relished 48 years together.
Lynn worked for many existing and start-up companies as their bookkeeper. Lynn was a creative and hardworking woman who found joy in making and sharing beautiful things. A very crafty person, she loved quilting, knitting, crochet, sewing, and ceramics. Many of her handmade creations became cherished keepsakes for family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and took pride in helping her husband on the farm raising goats. Lynn was also a phenomenal cook, creating amazing meals often without using a recipe. Lynn will be remembered for her creativity, generosity, and the care she put into everything she did.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "Sully and the Ladies in Pink", 9605 Nunda Dalton Rd., Dalton, NY 14836.
