Annette Doerflinger
Passed away on Sep 8, 2025 at the age of 97. Annette was born in Rochester, NY to Walter and Millicent Durbin January 12, 1928. After graduating from West High school in 1945 Annette worked for a time at Wollensak Optical Company. She married Charles Doerflinger in 1950 and raised a family of four boys In the Irondequoit and the Batavia areas respectively. In her youth, Annette was an avid sailor and loved to swim and kayak at her family's cottage on Conesus Lake. As a mother and grandmother, she loved nothing more than caring for her children and grandchildren and tending her beautiful flower gardens. Through her lifetime, Annette was a member of Laurelton United Presbyterian Church in Irondequoit and The Lakeville United Church of Christ in Lakeville.
Annette was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Doerflinger, sisters Marilyn Deffenbaugh and Natalie Heiden and brother Richard Durbin.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Elaine) Doerflinger, Donald (Eileen) Doerflinger, Douglas (Susan) Doerflinger, Charles (Nancy) Doerflinger; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A ceremony will be held at the Lakeville United Church of Christ on October 4, 2025 at 9:00 AM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Lakeville United Church of Christ, 5687 Big Tree Rd., Lakeville, NY 14480 the Jewish Home Foundation, 2021 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14618 or to a charity of one's choice.
