Kathryn Kyle Hall

(1934 – 2025)

Kathryn "Kathy", Kyle Hall passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 91 following a brief illness. The only child of Clark & Grace Kyle, Kathy was born January 11th, 1934, in Charleston, West Virginia. She graduated from Charleston High School in 1951 and went on to Miami University of Ohio where she met her future husband, Laurence Hall at a dance. They married in college and Kathy graduated with a degree in elementary education, after which she started her career as an educator. Her teaching career spanned over 40 years and took her from Horseheads, NY to Deltona, FL. Her favorite students were the third graders as she found them eager to learn and felt they were a joy to teach.

Family was the most important part of Kathy's life. She was a devoted wife to Larry for 44 years and a loving mother to her four children, Kim, Larry Jr., Carolyn, and Brenda. She had a passion for genealogy, writing a book and pursuing it as a hobby for over 50 years. She was a proud member of the daughters of the American Revolution. Kathy also loved reading, all manner of crafts, crossword puzzles and of course, time with family.

Kathy was kind, compassionate, curious, funny, intelligent, and a beautiful woman full of grace. She was patient to a fault and not one to complain. Through life's difficulties she was a rock in the stream letting them flow around her. Kathy repeatedly expressed gratitude for a long life full of varied experiences and lived having no regrets.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Clark W. & Grace (Gist) Kyle and her husband Laurence A. Hall. She is survived by her children: Kimberlee Hall McDonald (Tom), Laurence A. Hall, Jr. (Lori), Carolyn Hall, Brenda Hall Hammond (Les); grandchildren: Shannon, Ryan, Steven, Mitchell, Lindsey, Trevor, Rylie & Luke; and 8 great-grandchildren. Kathy will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made either to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo, NY.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at The Big Tree Inn, 46 Main St, Geneseo, NY on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 11:30 am. Please RSVP by September 1, 2025, by text to 585-820-2555.
