Michael D. Nichols, age 68, of Canandaigua, died Saturday, August 9, 2025 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Winona Nichols and his brother-in-law, Al Mothershed.

He is survived by his daughters, Michael Marie (Andrew) Burns of Sylvania, GA, Winona and Dixie Nichols of Gorham, grandson, Evan Burns, sister, Lori Mothershed of Leicester, brother, George (Sharon) Nichols of Germantown, OH, several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Michael was born February 4, 1957 in Middletown, OH the son of Douglas and Winona Byrd Nichols. He was a US Navy Veteran. Mike earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Alfred University. He worked and retired from RG&E based in the Canandaigua area after many dedicated years.

No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private in the family cemetery in Kentucky.
