Doris A. Yull, age 97, of Geneseo, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Binghamton General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Yull, sister, Janice (Arnold) Ornt, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Gunther.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Kathy) Yull of Westfield, IN, Thomas (Dr. Denise) Yull of Apalachin, NY, grandchildren, Rob (Emily) Yull, Commander Keith (Nicole) Yull, Gina Yull, and Dr. Rachel Yull, great grandchildren, Caleb, Aaron, Natalie, Maya, and Rayven, sister, Nancy Gunther of FL, several nieces and nephews.

Doris was born April 29, 1928, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Walter Raymond Burrows and Alta Howard Burrows. She earned her Bachelor's Degree and her Master's Degree in Library Science from SUNY Geneseo. Doris and Robert were married on June 19th, 1948, and raised their family in Geneseo. She retired from Caledonia-Mumford Central School and the Livingston County BOCES as their Librarian. Doris also served her community by volunteering at the Wadsworth Library for many years and serving on their Board of Directors.

Doris and Bob loved to travel, visiting all 50 states, the Canadian provinces, and many other countries. Doris enjoyed traveling with family to many destinations, including Elder Hostels and a number of cruises, creating lasting memories for her loved ones.

Above everything, Doris loved and cherished her family. This legacy of love is what will continue on in the hearts of all who loved her and knew her as Doris, Mom, Gram, and Aunt Dodie.

Doris' family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to her neighbors, Pete and Kay and Don and Pam Yull.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 AM at Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
