Joan A. Byrne, 82, of 50 Morse St. in Dansville, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her residence. Miss Byrne was a longtime resident of Second St. in Geneseo. She also resided on Stoner Hill Rd. in West Sparta after leaving Geneseo.

She is survived by her sister, Muriel (Fred) Hassell and her brother, Frank Byrnes both of Staten Island, NY, nieces and nephews.

She was born April 25, 1928 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Carol Byrne. Joan was retired from Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris, NY.

Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 9-11AM where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 11AM. Burial will be in her family plot in Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY.
