Dear VanGelder family, We are so sorry to hear of Ann Marie's passing. Ann Marie was one of my dearest friends in college. We met as lab partners in a genetics class at Cornell. We quickly became close friends and were inseparable that year. After graduation we went off to separate lives, but have kept in touch all these years. I have always admired Ann Marie's energy and determination in all that she did. She was absolutely dedicated to her family and friends. She was kind and compassionate toward others, always helping however she could. She had a delightful sense of fun and adventure. I can only imagine that she was the best of teachers. I will always think of Ann Marie as one of my best friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Eileen and John Kuempel Cincinnati, Ohio

The VanGelder Family, I was so sad to hear the news of Ann Marie's passing. For as long as I have known Ann Marie I always knew she was a force to be wreck end with! My fondest memories were spent with a weekend visit to Uncle Freddy's where we would play for hours and spend time with Uncle "Ferd", Aunt Gwenny, and Ann Marie. We would play games, learn piano, and beg her to play songs for us...All in the Family was her favorite or maybe it was mine : ) Although we will miss having you on earth with us, I know that you will live on in all of us in spirit. God Bless you and keep you in the palm of his hands Cousin! With love and prayer! Christine

Our family was sad to learn of Ann Marie's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. My cousin Ann Marie was an enormous part of my childhood and helped to create memories that I treasure. Although in later years we drifted apart, it gave us great joy to reconnect over the past year. My thoughts and prayers are with Ann Marie, and the entire VanGelder family. Rest in Peace Ann Marie.
